You can now try app.somespai (in beta phase)

I'm announcing that the Somespai page and application is now available and can be officially tested in beta phase.
For those who don't know yet, Somespai is a small "marketplace" — a contact platform — between individuals to rent and share spaces in Barcelona and throughout Catalonia. If you need occasionally or regularly some storage space to keep things, a studio or workshop to work, a patio or garden to relax, a large room for yoga or rehearsals, or a parking space, this is the place to find it.
What makes this project beautiful? We've applied a philosophy of radical minimalism: it gets straight to the point. Everything is designed primarily for mobile phones, with absolute priority given to the map and the immediate surroundings. As for money and dealings... I wanted to do it the old-fashioned way: Somespai will never charge you anything to arrange the rental and all financial transactions are handled directly by you via email, phone, or in person as has always been done. This promotes human relationships and avoids all the hassle of entering and managing banking data.
Currently there is an initial list of about thirty published spaces. So here's my request for help: go browse and use the platform! I'm running tests and any errors you find will be very useful for me to improve it before it "goes out into the big world".
Obviously... I encourage both those who just want to explore maps, and especially all of you who currently have empty rooms or spaces and want to post an ad (it's free!) publishing your storage space, parking, closed premises or your patio at a good price to bring life to the website. It will only take a couple of minutes and a couple of mobile phone photos to have your ad published in the neighborhood.
Are you a programmer and want to get on board?
Finally, there's a technical note that excites me. Somespai is open source from top to bottom and I'm developing it live in front of anyone who wants to see it, built with advanced software (Next.js 15, PostgreSQL databases with Supabase...).
The project needs more hands to be able to add new ideas and improvements. Those of you in the development world can visit the code repository on Github. I encourage you to participate directly by reading the requirements in the CONTRIBUTING.md file. I'm sure you'll find issues where you can contribute your Pull Requests. Let's do it, let's build practical things to make our lives easier!
